House of Tricks is more than a restaurant: it is part of a community. On any given day or night you will see familiar faces, many who have been part of the Tempe, ASU, or surrounding communities for a long time, eating, drinking, laughing, and enjoying themselves among first-time visitors and tourists from all over the world. At one table is a family celebrating grandma’s 75th birthday, at another a business deal is being made. This eclectic mix of patrons is really what makes Tricks so special — it is truly a place where everyone feels welcome. We’ve come to know many of our guests by name, and especially appreciate that they return year after year, bringing friends and family with them.
Tricks has a long-time commitment to giving back to the community that supports us. We are active members in the Tempe Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tempe Chamber of Commerce and Mill Avenue District. We serve on the board of directors for several organizations which enhance our business and feed our passions. We maintain strong relationships with staff and faculty at Arizona State University. We are devoted supporters of the arts. We donate thousands of dollars in gift certificates yearly, to help non-profit organizations throughout the valley achieve their goals. We have served hundreds of gallons of homemade soup to feed the hungry as a major sponsor of the Empty Bowls project for seven years.
